J-Master Style Template
Are you looking to build a J-Master-style guitar? Building a guitar may be easier than you think. Making a guitar with this template set will certainly be a lot easier and more accurate.
Due to Fender's trademark on headstocks, this template set is provided with a paddle style headstock.
The template options include the following components:
- Body - incl major body cavity reouts for pickups and wiring and tremolo
- Fretboard 21 frets
- Fretboard 22 frets (Optional)
- Neck Pocket
- Scratch Plate
We have the J-Master pick-up template available in our pick-up template collection here.
The body template includes optional Stoptail post locations for those people who wish to forego the tremolo and install a Stoptail and Tune-o-Matic bridge.
Please check the post spacings against the bridge and tailpiece that you intend to install as dimensions vary across brands.
The build pack includes:
- Fretboard (select the right option with fret number)
- Neck Pocket
Like all our guitar routing templates, these templates are made from clear 6mm acrylic, precision laser cut for accurate layout and routing where required.
Please be aware that our bolt-on (electric) neck pocket templates include a 0.3mm clearance to the neck to allow for finishing and the ability to correct any minor fitting/alignment issues. If you want to achieve a tighter fitting neck, apply one or two layers of masking tape to the inside surface of the neck pocket template before you route the pocket.
You can purchase each template separately if you require it.
Note: The dimensions of templates on this site are often created for accuracy based on original models however this is not the case in some templates and therefore we do not guarantee these templates to work with original parts. We also chose to design elements to be compatible across multiple models which mean not all parts are the exact dimensions as the original guitar the templates were based on.
